My Goals

 This term i am going to set some goals for reading maths and writing.

My goal for reading is to confidently read big novels.

My goal for maths is to instantly know all of my times tables.

My goal for writing is to use complex ideas whenever i writing.

 How to use place value in multiplication

Place value is the value of each digit in a number. For example, the 5 in 350 represents 5 tens, or 50; however, the 5 in 5,006 represents 5 thousands, or 5,000. It is important that children understand that whilst a digit can be the same, its value depends on where it is in the number.

Cross country

This year I competed in cross country and I came 5th place I struggled up the hill but overall I think that I did well I was 30 cm from from 4th place, I was puffed at the end and we had ice blocks after the race.
I think if I placed myself at the start I would have came in a higher pleasing.

100 Word Challenge

 100 Word Challenge!

This weak i have started the 100 Word Challenge i am very exited and i'm ready to start.
The word that i need to use are CALENDAR …. STICKY … WHITE … MINUSCULE … WASHING.

One fine evening there was a fire. Tom was hanging out the washing when boom the calendar lit the house, the white paint turned into brown paint crack. Firefighters bashed thru the door they saw a tiny puppy that had third degree burns they ran to the puppy and saved it. splash the sticky Goa shot out of the fire extinguisher. There was nothing but a ministerial flame.

 

Last weeks learning

  Last weak i hat to catch up on not  finished work i was done now i get to do can do tasks such as study ladder i learnt that if you are good you will get rewarded.

Lock Down Learning

 Throughout lock down i have learnt meany things such as how to drive a car and also how to make fences. i kinda liked lock down because there was no set time table and i was not rushed.i spent lots of time with my dad now lock down is kinda over i have to wake up early and get ready for school i prefer school because there is extra curriculum such as art and you get help from the teacher.

 WALT: Use financial literacy

This weak we have been learning about financial literacy.
We use a program could Banqer.
Banqer is a program to introduce us to banking.
So far we have learnt about income and expenses, 
Today we are learning about interest on our saving's.
Interest is the money paid on top of your savings as a reward for saving or the money charged for the privilege of borrowing money.

The chief and the giant eel.

One fine evening the chief and his men were training when they spotted the seven stars of matariki.

They proudly marched to the edge of the village and set off for the final hunt off the year.

The chief's men could hear the kiwi calling and the moa stomping through the forest .

The chief's men slowly walked to the humongous river where they would find the giant eel.

The chiefs healed up their spheres and threw them at the giant eel.

The eel was thrashing side to side and the men couldn't hold on much longer.

The chief threw his spear and killed the eel.

They carried the eel to the village and the feast began.

I liked this task because we got to choose what we rite and i chose to rite a

narrative.

Fore example 125 times 142 you wood times the 100s then the 10s then the 1s.

100 times 100 =1000, 20 times 40 = 800, 5 times 2 =10.

1000+800+10=1810.

This weak we where learning about cooperation and team work we also played hungry hippos in this game you had to work together to get to the middle an grab the little balls.
